Review #209: Port Charlotte 2007 Cooper's Choice 7 year Cask #2424
Port Charlotte is the peated line of Bruichladdich. From the IB below.
Color - Pale Gold - (This must be an often refilled sherry butt)
Nose - Burning logs, honey, cereal, lemon zest
Palate - Malt, bitter honey, cigar box
Finish - Medium - Lapsang, malt, honey, raw wood, lemon rind
Overall - 5 - This was not my favorite Port Charlotte. It was a pure malt bomb and no sherry influence. The honey, lemon and peat helped keep this from getting too boring. However, even without price being a factor, I would take regular PC or PC Islay Barley over this.
