Review #172: Talisker 6 year 2009 "Old Malt Cask" Single Sherry Barrel - 50%

Island - 6 - NCF- NCA - $50 - 50%

Color - Old Gold
Nose - Apricots, honey, cereal, marshmallow
Palate - Biscuits, vanilla, honey, pear
Finish - - a little hot, malt, cereal, faint dried fruits
Overall - 5 - This is a decent whisky but not really too interesting.  It is a malt bomb and got very little sherry beyond the apricots on the nose.  It also comes off as a little hot for 50%.  Not a bad whisky, but I would pass on buying a bottle.
