Review #170: Octomore 8.1, 59.3% - Blind

Color - Deep gold
Nose - Briney peat, dried seashells, smoke, vanilla, rock candy, fruit - peaches & raspberries, iodine
Palate - Malt, honey, smoke, baking spice, white fruit
Finish -Medium long - Mossy smoke, raw sugar, spice
Overall - 6 - This is an enjoyable dram.  It starts out kind of mild and then just slowly but surely coats the mouth.  It isn't complex, at least I am not getting a lot of complexity, just algae smoke.

My guess is Islay - 8 - NCF- NCA  - 53% - Ardbeg
