Review # 167 - Balblair 16 1999 2nd release - Blind
Highland - 16 - NCF- NCA - $90 - 46%
Color - Burnished
Nose - Raisins, brown sugar, figs, faint spice and floral notes - Getting a lot of sherry here
Palate - Baking spice, candied raisins, nutmeg
Finish - Medium Long - NutmegN utmeg, raw oak, dried fruit, toffee
Overall - 6 - I liked it, it was a step above the standard entry level sherried entry level (e.g. Mac 12). It was enjoyable but found the raw wood on the end just a little distracting. I would try their other expressions but would probably pass on buying this.
