Review #159: Kirkland 27 Year Blend

Non-Regional - 27 - Chill Filtered - Color added - ~$55 - 40%

Kirkland does all their blends through everybody's favorite 40% blender, Alexander Murray.  There is not much info on this so I will just throw it back.
Color - Chestnut
Nose - Mosquito repellent - OK, I am going to let this rest another 10 - Dates, cane sugar, and apples
Palate - Sweet tea, salt, caramel
Finish - Medium Short - Hotter than 40% deserves, Oak, sweetness,
Overall - 5 - This is about as boring as a scotch can get, especially for the age statement.  There is nothing really to describe it except as "Scotch".  There is much more interesting scotch at the entry level than this.
