Review #120: BLIND - Old Particular Auchroisk 15 54.5% from K&L.
Color - Yellow Gold
Nose - Honey and Vanilla, marshmallow,
Taste - Very malty, apples, a touch of floral,
Finish - Medium- Bit of a raw wood, cereal, cigar box, honey, pepper
Overall - I am going to guess ex-bourbon and highland. Is that pepper on the tongue spice or a higher ABV than I was thinking. It reminds me of Timorous Beastie turned down a bit. The raw wood on the finish is a bit distracting. I am going to guess it is a little hot due to age as opposed to ABV. I am really confused on this one, no idea. It just doesn't have anything that stands out - 10 years, 43%, Arran 10 though I could see this being a young CS highland that I am just missing the ABV on.
