Bourbon/Rye #3: Maker's Mark Cask Strength

Kentucky - NAS - Bourbon - 70% Corn/16% Wheat/ 14% Malt - Sample ($60 at the local) - 58.8%
Color - Tawny
Nose - Sweet vanilla and caramel dominate this. Some fruit - berries.
Taste - Corn, caramel, more dark berry, spice, brown sugar
Mouthfeel - Medium, less than I would think for the ABV
Finish - Sweetness - Vanilla, corn, cinnamon, cherry
Finish Length - Medium Long
Overall - 5 - This was quite enjoyable. It isn't complex, but it has a nice flavor profile. The dark fruit throughout added some balance. My only issue is that it lacked on the mouthfeel for the ABV, I felt there should have been more structure. Overall, this is a nice dram and worth picking up.

Rating system is price influenced as it is based on my shopping decisions when buying a bottle.
