Overall - 8 - The Nose is lovely peat, nice and mechanical. There is this lovely citrus and a bit of grassyness to it. Then it just moves to sweetness and in your face peat. I really enjoy this one though the finish is a little short. This is definitely a peat bomb and really, really tasty. I will say young because of punch of the peat, like 8 years old, 54%, Islay. I catch enough medicinal that I will go with Frog.
Reveal - Laphroaig 18 48% ABV - Goddamn, why did they discontinue this? This is f'ing good. My only complaint would be that the finish is a little short for the age statement. If this was still sold in stores I would always have one on hand.
