Review #281: Cadenhead Dalmore 15

Highland - NAS - NCF - NCA - $130? - 57.5%

Dalmore is a highland distillery that is known for its iconic e150 glow 12 point royal stag logo.  This one is from Cadenhead Authentic collection.   I don't have too much information on the bottle but it is pretty clearly ex-bourbon matured and was distilled in 1989.

Color - Ripe Corn
Nose -  Honey, key limes, salt, wild flowers, cigar boxes, apple juice
Palate -  Malt, vanilla, spices, honey and new oak
Finish - Medium - Porridge, pepper, lemons simple syrup
Overall - 5 -  This is a just fine classic Highland profile.  It has a ton of floral on the nose but then the body is all malt. While inoffensive, I just find this boring.  There is not a lot of complexity, it drinks just a tad hot to be easy drinking.  A little water doesn't add any new flavors or complexity but makes it a little easier to drink.
