Review #244: Distiller's Art - 20 Year Glengoyne distilled 1996
Color - Old Gold
Nose - Buttercream, honey, pineapple, caramel, orange zest, peaches, Apple peels, tropical Starbursts
Palate - Stone fruit, mangoes, pear juice, tropical fruit, caramel, buttercream
Finish - Medium - Buttercream, caramel, key lime pie, apricot, vanilla, bubble gum, custard
Overall - 8 - This is just delightful, about as good as ex-bourbon gets. It was cake frosting with swirling tropical fruits, stone fruits and orchard fruits. It was far from cloying in spite of all the sweet flavors. My only complaint was I was hoping for a longer finish than what this provided. All in all, a great IB from Glengoyne.
