Review #242: Old Pulteney 8 yr. - Signatory 2008 (bourbon) - Binny's - 60.7%
Highland - 8 - NCF - NCA - $60 - 60.y%
Color - Pale gold
Nose - Saline solution, malt, lilacs, caramel
Palate - Heavy malt, salt water, porridge
Finish - Medium - Malt, lemon, salt, pepper, the salt lingers longer than it should
Overall - 5 - This is just fine. It is simple, it is drinkable, and it is a total malt bomb. The ending is just to saline for me and there is nothing really there to balance it out. I am glad to have gotten to try this but it doesn't really make me excited to go back and try out more Old Pulteney whiskies.
