Bourbon Review #33: Manatawny american whiskey 52.5
Manatawny - Unkown - American Whiskey- Unknown - Sample - $50 (Guess) - 52.5%
I know next to nothing about this whiskey. It is american so probably refill bourbon barrels or a funky mashbill.

Color - Amber
Nose - Marshmallow, corn, caramel, vanilla ice cream, faintest hint of red fruit
Taste - Cherry, apples, vanilla
Mouthfeel - Medium - oily
Finish - A bit hot - Toffee, fresh apples, cherry, baking spices
Finish Length - Medium
Overall - 4/7 - This is an interesting whiskey to taste. It is kind of a hot mess but is enjoyable. It brings those red fruit notes that I love in bourbon but the heat on this is distracting. The nose is all vanilla but then it is not carried through to the palate. This is enjoyable. The distillery shows enough potential to go back to, this isn't craft "smooth" whiskey. I would try another one from them and see if they can bring more balance and flow to their whisky.
Rating system is price influenced as it is based on my shopping decisions when buying a bottle.
