Review #187: Kirkland 18 Speyside
Color - Russet
Nose - Nutmeg, vanilla, raisin, lavender
Palate - Vanilla, apples, chocolate orange
Finish - Short - Caramel, chocolate, vanilla, hint of spice
Overall - 6.5 - This isn't a bad sherry finished dram. Chocolate, vanilla, not a ton of sherry but enough to let you know it is there. Simple, straight forward, drinkable. I like this better than the Kirkland 20 that I had recently had. I would probably pick a bottle of this up over an entry level sherried malt. Having said that, I am not in a hurry to pick it up.
