Review #144: Aberlour A'bunadh batch 47
Speyside - NAS- NCF- NCA - Sample ($80 at the local) - 60.7%
Color - Mahogany
Nose - Dates, vanilla, marzipan, stewed apples, creme brule sugar
Palate - Vanilla, oak, allspice, faint fruit
Finish - Medium - Hot - Spice - allspice, vanilla, fruit peel
Overall -5.5 - I was disappointed in this one. The nose was great but there is too much spice not balanced by fruit. This is probably my least favorite of the A'bunadh's that I have had. Still enjoyable but, not my thing.
